Intravenous Therapy

Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system for complete absorption.

For some individuals, oral supplements may not be enough. Factors such as digestive concerns, nutrient deficiencies, chronic health conditions, or increased nutrient demands can make it difficult to achieve optimal levels through diet and supplementation alone.

IV therapy allows larger amounts of specific nutrients to be delivered efficiently and comfortably under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

At The Longevity Lab, every IV treatment begins with an assessment to determine whether IV therapy is appropriate for your health goals and medical history. Your treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and may be recommended as part of a broader wellness or medical strategy.

An initial consultation with a Naturopathic Doctor is required for all new patients to determine if intravenous (IV) therapy is appropriate. If deemed appropriate, an individualized treatment plan based on your medical history, health concerns, and goals, will be recommended. The cost of treatment thereafter will depend on the specific IV formula you are prescribed.

Frequently asked questions

Not necessarily. Not all vitamins / supplements are absorbed effectively in the digestive tract. Some may even be inactivated by the liver. Intravenous delivery bypasses the digestive tract and can overcome these challenges.

We use very small IV catheters which helps make IV therapy nearly painless!  Our health professionals are authorized to perform IV therapy and have many years of experience administering these treatments. They also take great care to minimize the likelihood of adverse reactions, and maximize the potential benefits of treatment.

During your initial consultation, our health professionals will first determine if IV therapy is appropriate for you, as well as which specific treatment(s) are best indicated for you. Not all nutrients and bioactive compounds are compatible with each other, so its best to rely on the experience and judgement of our health professionals!

The infusion time will vary depending on the specific IV treatment; but most treatments can be administered in 60-90 minutes.

Our health professionals will make recommendations for frequency and number of treatments based on your unique health needs.

Many health insurance benefit programs do offer full or partial coverage for IV therapies administered by our health professionals.
